- Create an automation.
- In the “Before the link” step, switch on “Ask them to follow first”.
- Choose what happens if the follow can’t be confirmed: send the link anyway, or keep holding it.

One message, two buttons
The first DM says what they’ll get and asks them to follow, with a Done ✅ button and a Visit profile button. Instagram allows one private reply per comment, so the ask and the buttons share that one message.
After they tap Done
linkpls checks the follow with Instagram. If they follow you, the link arrives with a thank-you. If they don’t yet, they get a reminder, up to three times.
If the follow can’t be confirmed
Choose when you set it up: send the link anyway (the default) or keep holding it.
How long it waits
A conversation waiting on a follow stays open for 48 hours.
